Insurance to protect your cars, your home, and your business, is important, but life and health insurance is there for what is most important: your family, your health, and your well-being.
Life Insurance
One of the most overlooked forms of insurance is life insurance. It’s often not required as is auto insurance and homeowners, and it seems to be treated as that insurance that you’ll get “some day” when you have a little extra cash. After all, you’re still young with lots of life ahead of you – right? Well that’s the point, you can’t be sure that you’ll be around forever to financially support your family. Life insurance is a choice that you should make when you are young, and others depend on you.
Beyond taking care of your family should you not be around, there are many other reasons to consider life insurance such as:
- Final expenses
- To pay off your mortgage
- Transferring wealth to your heirs
- As a tax-friendly investment
- Financing college for your children
- Facilitating a “Buy/Sell” agreement when purchasing a business
